So long, 2013. Oh, how I won’t miss you.
You know those years you wish hadn’t happened? I keep reminding myself this is not one of those years.
I have to remind myself a lot.
Raising our daughter through her 2nd year has been a great joy. Loving my wife. Living life alongside great friends. Spending time with family.
Vacations (we somehow managed 3 beach trips this summer!), job searching, Father’s Day in Baltimore (and 2 Orioles’ games!), getting to work with the volunteers in this great ministry, and having a column published in the Times-Dispatch.
I coached baseball (for the first time in a decade) on Sports Turf’s Field of the Year, wrapped up a great year with the Richmond Christian Leadership Institute, led the funeral for a friend.
I had the opportunity film some great stories, to help launch a few new websites (here, here and here), and photographed a pretty special engagement session.
As for the blog, 2013 brought a move to aaronLee.co. I wrote nearly every day in January and almost every day in December (for the #ChristmasCountdown). And in between, I managed to write about every four days — not exactly consistent, huh? Some days, I wondered if anyone was reading. Other days were quite the opposite. Here are the Top 5 posts from the blog this year, in no particular order:
- Remember That Time.
- Swimming With Sharks
- Making Walls New
- A Most Special Christmas at Home
- Today’s RTD: Helping Or Hindering?
Thanks for reading in 2013. Here’s to a brighter 2014 with just as many great memories…maybe more!
