So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. – John 1:14
“Tomorrow is the day!”
“Can I open just one tonight?”
“What time are we getting up tomorrow”
“When is Grandma getting here?”
For 24 days of the #ChristmasCountdown, the anticipation, the excitement, the waiting, has all been building toward tomorrow.
It’s so close now we can touch it, we can feel it, we can sense it.
The packages have been (mostly) wrapped. The details of tomorrow’s celebration have been planned and the supplies purchased. We are in the last moments and details of preparation.
And we’re ready.

There was a time, during high school, college and graduate school, where I lost the excitement. With so much time devoted to studying, writing, test-taking, I couldn’t enjoy the season. It was miserable.
I hope throughout the past 24 days, you have found, or re-found, a sense of joy about what tomorrow, and the whole season, is about. I hope you have seen a picture or read a story that has helped you take one step closer to being prepared for the day.
I found the excitement again, and now, it keeps getting better. Now, living through the eyes of our sweet daughter brings so much joy to our celebration.

Gratitude and celebration. Reflecting and remembering.
Each one of us brings different stories and memories to the Christmas table, yet we all come together for the one, same reason: Christmas.
As you prepare for Christmas day, choose not to observe but participate. Join the celebration, because no matter who you are gathering with, one things remains:
Love.
