Today is the darkest day of the year. The darkness of the longest night will overcome the light of the shortest day.
But in the shortest day, the darkest day, we find light.
Taking my daughters to look at lights is an incredible joy, watching the incredible power of a massive Christmas light display illuminate the sky and overpower the darkness of night.
In the closing days of this season, savor the moments of the season, and let the light overpower the dark. Sit back and appreciate the light of Christ overpowering the darkness, the sadness, the fear of our lives.
Find a Christmas light display with your family and take a minute to be still, take in the light and remember the Light of the Season will never be overpowered by darkness.
